Artist's Comments

I just noticed how much more complete other people's pictures looked with frames. Does it work here? Too bold, too distracting, not enough?

Water hyacinth is an invasive exotic in the US, but it's so pretty. I thought it was appropriate for the capricious vampire admiring his hand in the moonlight.

Anyway - another index illustration for sapayne.com!

(I'm one of those lurky fans.)

This is, as always, beautiful, but for this one, I thing the frame should be about the same colour as the darkest blue. *wanders off again*

I've got a blanket in the back seat on my mind.

Methinks the frame fits, although it could be more delicate. Straight lines are rather blunt, you could try drawing the frame more similar to the drawing itself... Something connected to the flower theme or so.

the frame works well! I like it!

Actually I think the frame showcases the picture better.

Love thy enemies, it fucks with their minds.

Hahaha this picture is the perfect image of two characters in an rp I'm in right now. Which makes me love it muchly. Specially since they Are vampires.

Do you know the story of the hyacinth? Hyacinthius was once the a lover of Apollo, and while playing discus (as attractive young men do) the jealous North Wind swerved the disc so it hit Hyacinthius in the neck and killed him. Apollo was le sad, and so from Hyacinthius's blood, came the flower Hyacinth.

One the three flowers that came from the blood of pretty young men in Greek myths.
